Our History

The late Alton L. Thompson and his wife Geneva started Thompson Screen Prints incorporated in a small building in Salisbury, North Carolina, in February 1977. Starting out we had one 5 color auto and three employees in a small 2000 square foot rental space on N. Lee Street; that first week they ran orders totaling 800 dozen.

By September 1978 land had been purchased and plans were underway for a new facility on what was then Walnut Street in Salisbury. That began as 5000 square feet and was eventually expanded to 17500 square feet by 1992. In 1992, Mark and Troy purchased Thompson Screen Prints from Alton and Geneva Thompson and are the current owner-operators.

In 1998 we broke ground on the building on Palmer Road; the 39,000 square foot facility we operate out of today.
